A long but very successful day for our crew at the fourth race of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup!
It’s been a long day for our Esimit Sailing Team and the entire fleet of 34 Maxiyachts, participating at the fourth race of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup 2012. The race was predicted to start at 11.30 CEST, but got cancelled after the first few miles because of insufficient wind. The fleet was waiting patiently for further announcements. The crew had to wait until 15.10 CEST, when a short coastal course of approximately 15 nautical miles started. Esimit Europa 2 did a very good race and crossed the finishing line at 16:20:10 with an average wind speed of approximately 10 knots. By winning also in corrected time, Esimit Europa 2 is taking the lead again in the Maxi Racing Class!
